Ortovox Haute Route 40 Backpack is perfect for both multi day skiing and hiking having a large volume. Adjusting it's load control cords you can get the backpack to sit perfectly using its O-Flex back system to distribute the weight evenly between the hips and shoulders, this allowing perfect comfort even with heavy loads.   You can access your backpack easily and quickly by accessing from both the top and back. It has a safety compartment that can be access immediately if and when required. There is also a rope attachment on its lid that gives access without having to open the lid.   This PU coating on all the materials makes it water resistant. The HAUTE ROUTE BACKPACK is very  durable thanks to the use of Cordura® and double-layered 420D Manstar nylon.   The A and D-skifix options on the HAUTE ROUTE 38 S allow for both classic and diagonal ski attachments, and the other carefully considered fixtures are equally useful: Crampon fastenings, ice axe, hiking pole fastenings and fixed helmet net, It also has  snowboard fasteners. A practical map compartment and key holder complete this roomy ski touring backpack.   Product Features
